  • This seminar will review the latest developments in AI-driven weather forecasting, focusing on extreme weather detection and predictability. Experts from diverse disciplines will discuss the strengths and limitations of current AI models and the broader social and ethical implications of transitioning to AI-driven forecasting. 

  • This seminar is collaboration between CNDS and climes.

  • Swetha Kolluri (virtual talk) – World
    Bank, AI & digital innovations. Former head of experimentation at UNDP India.

  • Ilaria Luise – Senior Research Fellow at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland.

  • Mengqian Lu – Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Engineering.
