Arrival Details
Date and Time:
- Please arrive at GeoCentrum on the morning of the 17th June.
We will be receiving participants at the lobby by the entrance starting from 8:30 AM.

Public transport
- Bus: You can take local buses to reach the GeoCentrum. The closest bus stop is “Evolutionsmuseet (Uppsala).”
- Travel Planning: You can search for travel routes and schedules at https://www.ul.se/en.
- UL App: We recommend downloading the “UL” app for purchasing tickets. This is the cheapest and easiest way to navigate the public transport system in Uppsala.

Meals and Breaks
- Lunch Options: There are several lunch options available around the institution. We will provide more details on the spot. Please note that participants are responsible for purchasing their own lunches and dinners, except for the school dinner on Tuesday evening.
- Coffee Breaks: Two coffee breaks each day are complimentary and will include fruit and sweets.
- School Dinner: The School Dinner will be held at Dryck&Mat on Tuesday, June 18th, at 18:00. Dryck&Mat is known for its exquisite blend of traditional and contemporary Scandinavian cuisine, providing a perfect atmosphere for relaxation and socializing. Social Event with Networking Opportunity
We will be organizing a networking event to help participants get to know each other better and to foster future scientific collaborations. Local researchers will also be joining.

We are excited to invite you to a special networking event on June 19th, 2024, organized as part of the climes Summer School.
Event Details:
- Date: June 19th, 2024
- Time: 15:15 (Summer School participants are leaving Geocentrum around 14.30 to take the bus from Evolutionsmuseet)
- Location: Latitude 59°, Svartbäcksgatan 71 Uppsala
- Activities: Mingling, facilitated structured networking activity, and then a Triathlon of mini-golf, darts, and shuffleboard
This event is an excellent opportunity to connect with a diverse group of international students who will be participating in the summer school for a week. These students bring fresh perspectives and innovative research from their respective fields, providing a rich environment for knowledge exchange and potential future collaborations.
Networking Activity:
This activity aims to inspire conversations and ensure that participants get to know each other’s research areas and personal interests.We hope that this event will not only be enjoyable but also foster meaningful connections that lead to collaborative research efforts in the future.
