Urban public health adaptation to climate extremes
A global Delphi study on how cities can adapt to extreme temperatures, floods, droughts and wildfires, while considering potential impacts on public health.
Help shape research on climate adaptation
Climate adaptation requires collaboration across sectors and organisations. This study brings together people with lived experience of climate extremes and people working with climate adaptation to build knowledge about effective approaches for cities around the world.
Who can participate?

If you have experienced a climate extreme while living in an urban area, your experience can help shape the research.
- Extreme temperatures
- Flooding
- Wildfires
- Drought
No research experience is required.
People working with climate adaptation
The study also invites people who work with climate adaptation or related topics to contribute their knowledge.
- Researchers
- Policy professionals
- Practitioners
- Other relevant stakeholders
What does participation involve?

Contribute to the Delphi study
People working with climate adaptation can contribute through several survey rounds. The total time investment is approximately 1.5 hours, spread over several months from 2026 to 2027.
When is participation taking place?
September–October 2026
Meetings for people with experience of climate extremes who would like to help shape the study.
